Where were you born? Where did you grow up?
I Was born in Malate, Manila and spent most of years in the city.

Schooling? Art training?
I studied at New Era University , both high school and college.

How long have you been working professionally in comics?
In local comics (Philippines), I've been working for more than 10yrs. 

What things -- both in art and otherwise -- have you worked on, besides comics? Are comics a full-time gig for you or part-time?
I've worked in various children's book for an international publishing company.

Comics is now a full time gig for me now.

Did you work as an assistant to any other artists?
Yeah, I've worked as an assistant to one of the regular artist of Marvel. 

I also did some ghost penciling for other Filipino artists here who already made a name for themselves in the international scene.

How did your parents take to the idea of working in comics?
They're used to it, I mean me working and drawing in a comic book.

How would you describe your workspace? Is it part of your home, or do you go "to the studio"?
It's a part of my home, of course.

What job are you the proudest of? What's your most embarrassing?
Nothing yet.


What are you currently drawing? Comments on that project?
I'm still doing a lot of samples and designs to get some good projects.


Talk about your family: Parents, siblings, home situation. Are you married? Have kids? Names? 
I'm already married to my loving wife and we've already been blessed with one child. I named my baby Kenshin , from the popular anime swordsman character.

What projects do you hope to work on in the future?
Any X-men project would be great.

What is the interest in comics where you live? Do friends and neighbors know you draw comics for a living? How do they react?
My friends and neighbors know, but they're used to seeing me get comic book work.

What's 1 thing you'll always find in your refrigerator?
Cold chocolate drinks.

What's your favorite food?
Spicy barbecue.

What are your favorite interests --Movies? Music? TV? Any hobbies? Sports?
music's my first interest.

Have you ever thought of writing your own stories?
yeah I have one. he he he!

Ever been in a gang?
Gang? its a hip-hop thing isn't it? I don't go for that kind of thing. 

Do you have any great, unsold projects in your files that nobody's gotten to see published?
I have one here, do you see it?

If you weren't a comic-book artist today, what would you be?
A children's book artist , Computer Graphics Artist or a rock band member.

Have you taught comic-book art or had any assistants?
no.

Any closing words for your fans?
watch and learn, that's all.
