Where did you grow up? I grew up in Quezon City
Schooling? I'm an advertising graduate.
Art training? Yes, I study at Whilce Portacio Comics Creation Course
How long have you been working professionally in comics? I'm been inking since 1998 and up to now.
What things -- both in art and otherwise -- have you worked on, besides comics? Before I entered comics I'm a graphic artist in advertising. I'm doing different kind of layouts from print to garment.
Talk about how you broke into the business --was it easy? For me entering comics was very difficult because I'm not familiar with how to do comics at that time. I study at “Whilce Portacio Comics Creation Course ” just to learn how comics are done properly. Plus I entered local comics here in our country just to get some experiences When you held your first published work in your hands, how did you feel? I'm very excited when I saw my first print artwork. I'm still in College at that time and my classmate was really surprise that I was doing comics back then.
How did you settle on the style(s) you're currently using? I just study different inker, just to get how they do it and what technique they apply in the pages they ink.
Did you work as an assistant to any other artists? Yup, I did work as an assistant back then. Especially that first inker was hire by Glasshouse at that time.
How did your parents take to the idea of working in comics? At first they think that it's not a professional job like a doctor, engineer, or bank manager. But when they see my first pay check, they were surprise how much I was earning.
How would you describe your work space? I have a little space in our room and I have almost everything there from comics, to book reference, DVD, television, a phone, and a computer.
What job are you the proudest of? My proudest work that would be my first inking job was at Dreamland Comics. This is a web comics.
What's your most embarrassing? Well that will be a page at Tokyo Knight. I didn't notice that panel because the background artist didn't indicated that panel background should be fill with blacks. Instead he drew some planets there and adds some star (just for fun)… And I though that will be a universe. Later in the final print we notice that there is a universe in that panel, that shouldn't be there.
What are you currently drawing? Just
some indy projects.
Talk about your family: Parents, siblings, home situation. Are you married? Have kids? Yup. I'm a married man and I have a son. Practically I named my son in one of the x-men character. Which is Nathan Christopher a.k.a Cable.
What projects do you hope to work on in the future? Maybe any Marvel or DC comics.
Where do you see yourself in five years? Well doing the thing that I really like…doing comics.
What is the interest in comics where you live? Yes, most of my friends and neighbor do collect comics too.
What's 1st thing you'll always find in your refrigerator? Ice-T
What's your favorite food? Any Filipino dish and Chinese will do.
What are your favorite interests --Movies? Music? TV? Any hobbies? Sports? In movie I like any sci-fi or any comics' base characters. In music anything that sounds good. In TV maybe comedy and sports channel, plus cartoon network and animax. In sports I love to play basketball back then.
What's an average day in your life like? I work for almost a day. Just to finished 2 pages of ink. But sometimes when deadline arrives I have to do 3 to 4 pages a day. So no social life at all.

If you weren't a comic-book artist today, what would you be? I would be a graphic artist. Because that my first job before I switched to comics.
The single thing you'd most like to be remembered for in your life is...? I'm just a simple person. Every time I work
no matter what company they are or how much they pay. I will do my very best to produce a quality artwork and always love what I'm doing.
