Where were you born? Where did you grow up?
I was born and grew up in the south of Spain, in Malaga... a small Andalusian city.

Schooling? Art training?
I'm graduate of psychology but I didn't have any art training.

How long have you been working professionally in comics?
I finished studying psychology 2 years ago, so I have been working in graphic design for 2 years, I did t-shirt designs, logotypes, flyers... I'm just starting in comics, so nothing published yet.

What things -- both in art and otherwise -- have you worked on, besides comics?
Now, I work as a full time graphic designer.

Are comics a full-time gig for you or part-time?
Now, comics is a part-time gig... if all is right, it will be a full-time gig.

I love this job.

Tell us how you broke into the business -- was it easy? Hard? Any interesting anecdotes?
Since I decided to break into this business, my life have changed many more, I left a boring but safe life style for a very hard life, but now I do what I always wanted so I'm very happy.

I hope the future will be easier but I'm ready for everything.

When you held your first published work in your hands, how did you feel?
I'm waiting for this moment, I'm sure it will be great. Like a dream... (only similar to the date which Spanish soccer's team will be proclaimed World champion).

How did you settle on the style you're currently using?

My artwork (line art and color) is very much influenced by graffiti but I'm looking for my own style.

Did you work as an assistant to any other artists?
No, I didn't. I did some coloring works for others artists but only to practice.

How did your parents take to the idea of working in comics?
They think I'm crazy, but I do what I liked for all my life... so they are happy.

They never wanted me to be an artist, they think this is a very hard job, but they are supporting me, of course.

Please describe your work space. Is it part of your home, or do you go "to the studio"?
I have a small room in my house, it's small but quiet and comfortable. There is all I need.

What job are you the proudest of?
I like very much my characters for t-shirts, I did all the work... pencils and colors. I have a dream, I would like to have my own company.

Maybe in some years I will be able to start this project.

What project are you currently drawing?

I'm coloring some sketches for my portfolio, I need pages to show my style.

Tell us about your family and home situation. Are you married with kids?
I was student 2 years ago, so I'm single, I live with my father and brother... I would like to live with my girlfriend soon.

What projects do you hope to work on in the future?
I would like coloring some covers... Hulk, X-men, Spiderman... The best would be coloring some penciled works by J. Madureira, his style is very, very cool.

Where do you see yourself in five years?
If all go well in the right way, I will be in my room, with my PC, some covers colored by me... some comic
books colored by me... some t-shirts designed by me... he he he, I would like to have time to do all this.

Do friends and neighbors know you draw comics for a living? How do they react?
They think its a very cool job, some people think its very funny... but they forget this is a very hard business too. They've been supportive, of course.

What's 1 thing you'll always find in your refrigerator?
Milk, it's my favorite drink.

What's your favorite food?
I have a lot of favorite food, I like very much to eat... the Spanish food is great. I like very much Spanish omelet.

What are your favorite interests --Movies? Music? TV? Any hobbies? Sports?
I have no doubts, my favorite interest is the soccer, my favorite team is Real Madrid, I like very much watching on TV some soccer matches.

I like very much to go to the cinema, to read a good book, to walk with my girlfriend and go to the beach.

Have you ever thought of writing your own stories?

Yes, of course.

I think its a dream of every comic artist.

What's an average day in your life like?
Work, work and work, i work all day... but in weekends.

Do you have any great, unsold projects in your files that nobody's gotten to see published?
I have a lot of characters I did for t-shirts. I would like to do a comic book with them.

If you weren't a comic-book artist today, what would you be?
A soccer player, no doubt.

Any closing words?
Your obligation in life is to be happy, so you must work very hard to get your dreams.
