Where were you born? Where did you grow up?
I was born in Guarulhos, São Paulo. I grew up in every part of São Paulo because my parents were kind of nomads.

Schooling? Art training?
Only the 1st grade in normal school, I didn't get along too well with other kids. My art training was always based in autodidacticism.

How long have you been working professionally in comics?
I've started working professionally in comics around january 2009.

What things -- both in art and otherwise -- have you worked on besides comics? Are comics a full-time gig for you or part-time?
I've always worked with art since I was 15. First drawing for some weird product catalogs, then in a skateboard/street wear brand, publicity, illustration and so on. And also I've made some small exhibits with oil paintings and watercolor.

I don't know if comics are full-time or part-time to me... I don't even know what time it is now.

Talk about how you broke into the business --was it easy? Hard? Ups? Downs? Any interesting anecdotes? When you held your first published work in your hands, how did you feel?
I wanted to work with comics since I was a little kid, but somehow the illustration career was going naturally. At the end of 2008, I made a test for comics colorist and thankfully it also happened naturally.

Did you work as an assistant to any other artists? If so, please talk a bit about those experiences.
I haven't.

How did your parents take to the idea of working in comics?
They think it's cool. Sometimes my mother got worried about me going to sleep on 6am.

How would you describe your workspace? Is it part of your home,
or do you go "to the studio"?

It's in my bedroom. I feel more comfortable working in my bedroom with privacity.

What job are you the proudest of? What's your most embarrassing?
I'm proud of every job i did. But until now, I think The Complete Alice in Wonderland series is the one I am proudest of.

What are you currently drawing? Comments on that project?
I'm coloring The Complete Alice in Wonderland series, Hombre Rosa and Battlestar Galactica. Also I'm working on other projects that I don't have much information yet to tell.

Talk about your family: Parents, siblings, home situation. Are you married? Have kids? Names? Anecdotes about married life, how it relates to your busy schedule, etc. If you have kids do they understand your job? What do they say about it? Do they read comics?
I just rented my first "own" apartment in terms, because I still live with my brother.
Not married, but I have a beautiful girlfriend and she really enjoy the fact I'm a colorist working with comicbooks.

What projects do you hope to work on in the future?
I still want to work with comics but I have interests in the games industry - Concept art, character design etc. And maybe if time allows me, continue with personal illustration and art exhibits.

Where do you see yourself in five years? Ten years?
I just live and let live.

What is the interest in comics where you live? Do friends and neighbors know you draw comics for a living? How do they react?
I don't know my neighbors, so I don't know if they know me :) My friends are mostly artists, so they love comics. When people know that I work with comics for living, they usually say: "cool! But you make it all on the computer, right? It's easy then". It drives me crazy.

What's 1 thing you'll always find in your refrigerator?
 A Velociraptor. Or milk.

What's your favorite food?
 Caffeine.

What are your favorite interests --Movies? Music? TV? Any hobbies? Sports?
Video games, tattoos, and reading books. I am a big Chuck Palahniuk's fan.

Have you ever thought of writing your own stories?
Yeah, actually I do write. But I have a strong tendency to write about nonsense and ordinary aspects of life.

Ever been in a gang?
 I've been alone, against some.

What's an average day in your life like? Walk us through a typical day.
I wake up, drink coffee, check my emails, get confused, work, work, work, answer phone calls, drink more coffee, try not to procrastinate, some times of the week I go training self-defense, then I stay awake until 6am and go to sleep.

Do you have any great, unsold projects in your files that nobody's gotten to see published?
A lot of things of my teens era. Thank God nobody saw it published.  :)

If you weren't a comic-book artist today, what would you be?
 A rock star.

Have you taught comic-book art or had any assistants? If so, talk about that.
There's a girl named Alice Ito, wich is also my agent's wife. She does all the flat colors and help me a lot on schedules.

The single thing you'd most like to be remembered for in your life is...?
As long as some people remember me, I'm satisfied.

Any closing words for your fans?

Do I have any? LOL.
