My name is Sasa Jovanovic and my Christian name is Aleksandar so Sasa Aleksandar Jovanovic. I was born on 12 September 1972 in Serbia. I am based in Novi Sad-Serbia. I had fortune in my life to get two daughters and spectacularly beautiful wife!

Novi Sad?
OK…Novi Sad is in Serbia. 80 km from Belgrade, 400 km from Vienna and 240 km from Budapest. It is laid on river Danube so Novi Sad is hart of Europe.

If you're working from another country, do you need a translator?
No, I am quick learner plus I have spent one year in Australia. So here I am talking and walking as English people does ;)

How is the interest on comics where you live?
Yes we have interest in comics but more “arty” comics than action. French comics are popular here…

Was it easy to break into comics?
I am still braking in I am not quite there. We had (people in Serbia) some difficulties (war, NATO bombing “merciful Angel-operation”, embargo…) so it was impossible to do anything during that period. But things are changing now and the sky is the limit ;)

So when did you start to make comics?
I am doing comics all my life. I have finished high Scholl for graphic design. I have also university diploma gained at Fine Art’s Scholl (4 years). At the moment I am doing masters studies in “applying new media in Art”. I am very interested in video games and movies but comics give me the most of freedom… and comics are easier to enter.

If you weren't a comic-book artist today, what would you be?
I would probably be an economy expert as my father.

What is your preferred food?
I like best traditional Serbian country food. Nothing special or fancy…

What do you always have in your refrigerator?
Food of course…silly question isn’t it?

Who is your favorite hero?
Dirty Harry-Client Eastwood

Who is your favorite villain?
Darth Vader from the dark side.

If you could pick one comic character to work on, which would it be and why?
I would like the most to make Star Wars stories! Basically I am fascinated by Star Wars since my childhood. I like that mixture of action-SF-philosophy.

How do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
Yeah right…I am artist and not a fortune teller mate! We will see…most important is to be healthy and together with your family. All other thighs can be bought by money thus they are not so important. When you see 3 wars and NATO bombs in action…believe me this is most important!
